Connectivity Solutions for the Digital Nomad
ROUTER INSTALLATION
Antenna to Router Connections:
Both the roof mounted, and the No-Drill antennas connect to the routers the same way.
- The antennas have 7 leads- the are:
- Four LTE (A, B, C & D) leads. Note- only 2 (A & C) are used on the R920 4G antenna.
- Two Wi-Fi (1 & 2) leads.<.li>
- One GPS/GNSS Lead
- When connecting them, please take care to not bend the gold lead inside the connector. All of them should be finger tight. Use these diagrams as a guide:
Connecting Power to the Router:
- All of these Cradlepoint routers are designed for use in mobile environments. We recommend connecting the router to the 12VDC battery system using the included GPIO cable. As a best practice, you may want to stock an extra GPIO cable so the RV can be completely wired (antenna + power) prior to the router arriving.
- The GPIO is a 4- wire cable that has a locking plug which secures it to the router. For this type of installation, you will only use the Red (12VDC) and the Black (ground) wires.
